• Hard disk:
  The maximum number of audio tracks depends on the rotation speed, access time, and data transfer rate of the hard disk. Nowadays, modern UltraDMA hard disks are very fast and enable the simultaneous use of many audio tracks. Ideally, your hard disk should have a rotation speed of 7200RPM (or faster) as well as an access time of under 9 milliseconds. Audio data should be saved on an external hard disk.
